This specific piece 'COMPLEX' reflects the complexity and struggle of mental health. I wanted to promote the importance and awareness of mental health. This piece with angled lines surrounding the circumference of the spherical shapes emphasise balance. Like in life there should always be a balance, including a work life balance and the importance of it.

I made this painting during the most challenging times for us all, Covid 19. Being in a lockdown there were moments of feeling restricted, frustrated and trapped but I ironically never felt so liberated as an artist. As many others I had time to reflect, utilise and create and in doing so I have discovered new techniques, ideas and materials.
